This applicator is used with our Blue and Yellow Sticky Rolls when you have an insect population in a large area that you need to monitor and trap.
Applicators are used to set up Insect Science’s Blue and Yellow Sticky Rolls above the crop or plant where pests are found. Place in greenhouses, nurseries, shade houses and open fields to mass trap different pests.
Use with our Blue and Yellow Sticky Rolls when you have an insect population in a large area that you need to monitor and trap
• Place 2 poles (not supplied) 1m – 5m apart in the ground, close to the plants you want to protect. This spacing depends on the layout of your garden/ nursery. Poles must be at least 250mm taller than the plants.
• Just above the height of the plants attach 2 parallel lengths of wire (not supplied) horizontally between the poles. Wires should be 140mm apart.
• Run another wire vertically along the inside of each pole, between the 2 parallel strands of wire.
• Using the above wire (or cable ties), attach an Insect Science Sticky Roll Applicator (buy separately) on each pole. Make sure the applicators open towards each other on the inside of each pole.
• Open the applicator and wrap the sticky roll around the pole and the secured section of the applicator. Pull tightly. Close the applicator. Note – the first 25cm of the roll has no adhesive glue.
• Using the parallel wires as a guide, pull the sticky roll along the wire until you reach the other pole.
• Open the applicator and wrap sticky roll around the pole and the secured section of the applicator. Pull tightly. Close the applicator. Cut the sticky roll.
• Use Insect Science® Glue Remover to easily remove any glue residue on your hands.
• Traps are effective for 1 month.
• Please recycle packaging in accordance with recycling symbols on the box.
• Discard sticky roll in dustbin after use.
